A study into developing six affordable flats for rent as an investment for the land owner. The brief was to design flats that would be modern and spacious with very low running costs. The block was orientated to make maximum use of sunlight and solar gain. A communal heating system was proposed to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

This former joinery workshop required internal alterations to form a more commercially viable space for rental. A dangerous upper level was removed and large opening made in a dividing wall producing an open plan workshop.
